WELCOME TO REFORMED BAPTIST CHURCH
Reformed Baptist Church is a Reformed Baptist church that gathers for worship in Pikeville, Kentucky. We confess the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession of Faith. We affirm the Five Solas of the Reformation as well as the Doctrines of Grace (otherwise known as the Five Points of Calvinism), and each of our pastors would not be ashamed to be called a Calvinist. We are a church led by elders (also called pastors and overseers in the scriptures), of which there is a plurality. Our mission is pursuing biblical Christianity for the good of our families, the health of our community, and the advance of Christ’s kingdom.

EXPOSITORY PREACHING
We as a church, prioritize the faithful exposition of God's word. This means that we preach through books, one passage at a time, verse by verse. The main point of the text is the main point of the sermon. Expository preaching seeks to clearly, accurately, and plainly, expose, expound, illustrate, and apply the text to demonstrate and herald the necessity, relevancy, and efficacy of the truth extracted in such a way that God’s people are stirred in their affections and invoked to respond in both faith and obedience to Christ.

CONFESSIONALLY REFORMED
The most concise expression of our faith is the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith of 1689. We believe that this historic document is an excellent summary of the fundamental truths of God’s Word. We accept it, not as an authoritative rule or code of faith, but as an aid to us in controversy, a confirmation of what we believe, and as a means of growing together in grace. In this Confession the members of our church will have a body of Divinity in small compass and by means of Scriptural proofs will be ready to give a reason for the hope that is in them. (1 Peter 3:15)

FAMILY INTEGRATED WORSHIP
We believe that each and every parent has the God given duty to instruct their children in the ways of the Lord. One of the greatest expressions of this is found in parents teaching their children how to worship in the church of God among God's people. We do not view children as a hinderance, distraction, or problem to be solved. Rather, we believe children are a heritage from the Lord, a blessing, and an integral part of God's church. Therefore, we do not segregate our worship by age and let the little ones come to Jesus. This means we do not have Sunday School, Youth Group, or any other "programs."

CULTURALLY ENGAGED
Christian's are called to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. In faithful response to this command from the Lord Jesus we believe that the local church has the responsibility to engage with the cultural and public. We seek to preach the law and gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world. Thus, offering a message of reconciliation and forgiveness of sins through the person and work of the Lord Jesus in the public square. Through street preaching, gospel tracts, one-on-one conversation, signage, and engagement with public displays of wickedness we participate in weekly public evangelism. We believe that churches who fail to do so are no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet. Alongside of this we also participate in federal, state, and local politics seeking that righteous laws be legislated by our civil magistrates.
